The Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), automotive’s leading IT standards organization, announced that it has added DealerBuilt to its growing membership compiled of automotive manufacturers, technology providers, and retail automotive dealerships. DealerBuilt has joined STAR as an Associate Member organization. Associate Members are nonvoting members of STAR and are ineligible to participate on its Board of Directors; however, they are actively involved in STAR’s various technical workgroups.

The Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), automotive’s leading IT standards organization, announced that it has added Sailfish Software to its growing membership compiled of automotive manufacturers, technology providers, and retail automotive dealerships. Sailfish Software is STAR’s latest Associate Member organization- a distinction reserved solely for start-up or nonprofit organizations. Associate Members are nonvoting members or STAR and ineligible to run for its Board of Directors.

The Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), automotive’s leading IT standards organization, announced that it has released French and Spanish language translations for the multiple updates launched earlier this year to its Dealer Infrastructure Guidelines (DIG) for retail automotive. These translations, the first since 2019, focus on better definitions, business continuity and data management.

The Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), the leading automotive IT standards organization, announced that it has hired leading automotive industry veteran, Steve Zadoorian, as Executive Director. Reporting to STAR’s 2025 Board of Directors and Officers, Steve leads the day-to-day operations of STAR, oversees the development and updates of its standards, provides visionary leadership, and drives stakeholder engagement from the organization’s members.
