STAR Steering Committee
The STAR organization is guided by the Steering Committee, which is comprised of representatives of member organizations elected by the members. To the greatest extent possible, all categories of membership are represented equally. It is the responsibility of the Steering Committee to perform any and all duties imposed on them collectively or individually by law, by the Articles of Incorporation, or by the Bylaws to protect STAR’s non-profit status.
The Steering Committee is comprised of 7 chair positions: Chair, Co-Chair, Public Relations/Communications Chair, Membership Chair, Treasurer/Special Projects, Development Chair, and Strategic Marketing Chair. Steering Committee members may hold multiple offices and new offices may be created and filled at any meeting of the Steering Committee. These chairs work together throughout the year to monitor, report and direct the progress of all aspects of STAR.
The Steering Committee is led by a Chair and a Co-Chair and the term of office for the positions, and other Steering Committee chair positions, is one year.
